It is relatively easy to see with the naked eye because the specific yellowish-brownish colour and calcified appearance on the tooth surface is characteristic of tartar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since tartar is a hard mass on the surface of the tooth, it is difficult to remove with a toothbrush. It can be removed by a dentist using special instruments and equipment.
